Saturday 13th and Saturday 27th July from 12 – 2.30pm
Walk through the beautiful pink and purple flowering heathland to the far tip of the range (Penrhosfeilw Common, near South Stack). We will sit overlooking the tide-race and have a picnic – a great place to watch seals and sometimes gannets too. Other bird life we may see includes the rare chough, stonechats, linnets, skylark and meadow pipits. Learn about the different traditional uses of the plants, which ones you can eat or use as medicines. Learn some of the local Welsh names for the wildlife, they have really interesting meanings! We may also see the rare silver studded blue butterfly.
This walk is suitable for families, there are only 12 places available, so please book ahead.
