Porth Dafarch – South Stack – Holyhead Mountain
Saturday 1st and Saturday 15th September.

September can be one of the best times to walk Anglesey, the weather is often sunny and warm and most of the summer hoilday makers have gone home, leaving the beaches quiet and empty. The heathland is still largely in flower, summer bird migrants are present and marine life can be at its best. Seals and their pups are visible if you are very lucky! Porpoises and sometimes bottlenose dolphins are commonly sighted and passing seabirds such as manx shearwaters, can make a bit of seawatching well worthwhile.

This walk has most dramatic coastal scenery and panoramic views accross Anglesey and Snowdonia.
During the walk your guide will identify birds and flowers, give information about their traditional medicinal and cullinary uses and introduce some of the interesting bird and plant names in Welsh.

Four Mile Bridge – Rhoscolyn Circular
Sunday 1st and Sunday 16th September

This walk starts and finishes outside Y Gegin Fach cafe in the pretty village of Four Mile Bridge. It includes a huge diversity of habitats; the wet saltmarsh of the inland sea and its wading birds, the woodlands of the Bodior estate, the sandy beaches of Silver Bay and Borthwen and the rocky coastal heaths and headlands of Rhoscolyn. It is common to have great views of the rare and beautiful chough, ravens, meadow pipits and stonechats.

During the walk your guide will identify birds and flowers, give information about their traditional medicinal and cullinary uses and introduce some of the interesting bird and plant names in Welsh.
