Although this can be the most illusive wildlife spotting of all, this also makes it the most rewarding and unforgettable experience when lucky enough to see it! The coast of Anglesey offers some fantastic opportunities to observe marine life.

Certain sections of the coast, particularly where there are tide races, regularly offer the chance to sea Atlantic grey seal swimming offshore. This is a magical experience in early autumn the pure white youngsters can sometimes be observed.

It is also possible to have regular sightings of harbour porpoise (similar in appearance to a dolphin) breaching the water. Sometimes pods of porpoise are joined by spectacular feeding frenzies of gannets, which take a dramatic plunge dive into the water. Just occasionally it is also possible to sea bottlenose dolphins leaping from the sea.
